Roman Helmets

It has been told that the galea was a Roman legionnaire's lifesaver when it came to heavy axe blows from German barbarians during the early years of the Roman empirical conquest. This war helmet has a nifty neck guard that protruded from the back of Roman helmets which provided sufficient protection from projectiles such as stones or small arrows. Usually made from bronze, the galea, or Roman helmet were made famous by the Centurions during those era.
